Denise Lockett is an attorney at Roberts & Stevens whose legal practice is concentrated on healthcare law. She also has significant experience in additional civil litigation matters, from family law cases to housing disputes. With more than 25 years’ experience, Lockett appreciates the opportunity to assist clients in navigating their legal options and by offering effective advocacy.

Originally from Johnson City, Tennessee, Lockett is a graduate of Mary Baldwin College, North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina School of Law. She is a James E. and Carolyn B. Davis Society for public service award recipient and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies.

Lockett has previously worked with local non-profit Pisgah Legal Services and was a managing attorney for statewide nonprofit Legal Aid of North Carolina for over seven years. She has served on the board of the nonprofit Food Connection, and is currently a board member of Food for Fairview.

When she’s not hard at work advocating for her clients’ legal rights, she enjoys running, reading, local theater and spending time with her family.
