Lisa-Gaye Hall was hired as the the Buncombe County Bar Administrator in April, 2009. She is married to Michael Congleton, who works as an art teacher at Carolina Day School Middle School. They are the parents of two teens, and enjoy camping and paddling on the weekends.
Lisa-Gaye was honored by the City of Asheville in 2008 for Excellence in Public Service for her outstanding contribution to improving diversity. The award was given because of her collaboration with city staff in creating the City of Asheville Youth Leadership Academy.
Though she is originally from Tennessee, Lisa-Gaye has lived in Massachusetts, Florida and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She has served as a teacher, a journalist, a college advisor and a non-profit executive.
