Welcome To New Assistant Public Defender Hanna Abernethy

The Buncombe County Public Defender welcomes Hannah Abernethy to the office as an Assistant Public Defender. Ms. Abernethy has been with the Forsyth County Public Defender’s Office for the past three years following her graduation from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2017. Ms. Abernethy received her undergraduate degree in the history and communication studies at UNC-Chapel Hill. She grew up in Catawba County.
