Seeking Paralegal

Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina.  We are seeking a Creditors’ Rights Paralegal to join our team.  The paralegal can be located in any one of the Firm’s five offices.

Applicants should be multi-task oriented, well organized, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting attorneys in resolving bankruptcy, collections and other related Creditors’ Rights matters;  drafting correspondence and legal documents, docketing of all aspects of same; conferring with all parties involved; keeping schedules; maintaining electronic and physical files; monitoring progress; and following up to ensure all required actions are completed.  All paralegal functions are performed under the supervision of an attorney and paralegal supervisor.

Applicants should have at least two years’ experience in handling all aspects of bankruptcy and collections.  A Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Technology is preferred.
