Seeking Legal Assistant for Small Law Firm in Asheville

This busy, women-owned law firm practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, and civil litigation. Legal assistant will provide support to 2 attorneys. Duties will include: telephone coverage, runs to courthouse, bank, and post office; scheduling appointments, depositions, and overall maintenance of calendar; client communications; drafting correspondence; pick up and distribute, scan, and file mail and courthouse correspondence; general upkeep of conference room, coffee, and office supplies; and, other general administrative duties as needed. Depending on experience, the legal assistant may also participate in drafting discovery, pleadings, and AOC forms; indexing depositions; and assisting in the preparation for and attendance at hearings.
