McGuire, Wood & Bissette, P.A. is pleased to announce the appointment of attorneys Robert “Rick” Jackson and Sabrina Presnell Rockoff as shareholders of the firm effective February 1, 2014. To be considered for this honor the attorney must display a high rate of success in their area of law, demonstrate a progressive influence within the firm and maintain substantial local community involvement.
Rick Jackson joined the firm in the fall of 2008 following the attainment of his Juris Doctor from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law and a MBA from the UNC-Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional through the Green Building Certification Institute. Rick works primarily with small to mid-size businesses with a concentration in Corporate, Real Estate Development and Healthcare law. Jackson sits on several local boards including the Asheville Brewers Alliance, Asheville Downtown Association and Asheville Independent Restaurant Association.
Sabrina Presnell Rockoff, a graduate of the UNC-Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School and UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law, returned to her native Asheville in 2012 after practicing for large international firms in New Jersey and Raleigh, NC. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, New Jersey and New York. Sabrina is a business-oriented attorney with primary focus on employment practice; with substantial experience in both representing in litigation and counseling employers concerning a wide-variety of employment-related topics, balancing the business and legal considerations to offer efficient and effective advice and strategy. Rockoff is a member of Leadership of Asheville and sits on the Board of Directors for NC Stage Company.
