Roberts & Stevens honored by Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity

Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity (AAHH) presented Roberts & Stevens Law Firm with two commemorative framed quilt squares to thank them for their long-term service and support for the last 20 years.

Through the years, Roberts & Stevens has supported AAHH in a number of capacities including serving on the Board of Directors and committees, donating, sponsoring events, participating in building homes, and providing pro-bono legal counsel. Marc Rudow, real estate attorney at Roberts & Stevens, and Sandy Carter, paralegal, have been the closing attorney team for AAHH houses since 1994. Marc Rudow is also a member of Habitat’s Land Acquisition Committee. Jacqueline D. Grant, litigation attorney, serves on the AAHH Board of Directors.

Asheville Habitat’s Executive Director Lew Kraus remarked, “Roberts & Stevens is the firm we turn to for our real estate legal transactions – helping us search titles, prepare contracts, and conduct closings. Over 200 Habitat families have sat in Roberts & Steven’s 10th floor conference room while Marc Rudow patiently and clearly walked them through the legal steps of buying their first home. We are grateful that this firm partners with us to provide such a vital service.”
