Gregory D. Hutchins, a partner at Roberts & Stevens law firm, was honored by the Buncombe County Bar for his outstanding contributions, dedication and professionalism to the organization. The award was presented at the Buncombe Bar’s annual meeting on June 5 in Asheville. Mary Robinson Hervig, a partner with Roberts & Stevens, accepted the award on Hutchins’ behalf.
“Greg Hutchins has always been a consummate professional and a ‘lawyer’s lawyer’ in the complex world of transactional, tax and real estate law,” said Vince Childress, a partner with Roberts & Stevens. “He has been a pillar of the community in his service as Chair of the Givens Estates’ Board of Directors, as a Scoutmaster and leader of the Daniel Boone Scouts Council, and in his church. In all respects, professionally and personally, he demonstrates the utmost integrity.”
A native of Asheville, Hutchins received his undergraduate degree in business from Wake Forest University and his Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law. He has practiced law for more than 25 years and has been named among Business North Carolina magazine’s Legal Elite and The Best Lawyers in America for his work in corporate law.
Janet Amburgey, president of the Buncombe County Bar, highlighted Hutchins’ outstanding contributions, praising his efforts in upholding the principles of justice and fairness. His colleagues applauded his integrity, professionalism and the invaluable guidance he provides to fellow attorneys and community organizations alike.
