Education Law
Jeremy focuses in cases that deal with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), as well as Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. In cases like these, he represents children and assists parents with advocating for their child’s right to receive a free and appropriate education. This can range from meetings with school officials to litigating against the district to demand the services each student needs.
Disability Law
Jeremy frequently takes on cases to protect the rights of the disabled, including but not limited to matters involving accommodations for students or discrimination in employment. Disability laws can be complicated, and both companies and governmental entities are adept at getting around their obligations. Jeremy works to help people with disabilities live the best life they can by making sure they aren’t blocked from employment, education or other opportunities solely because of their disability.
Civil Rights
Jeremy has experience handling a wide variety of civil rights cases, including cases involving freedom of speech, freedom from discrimination, and the right to due process. Throughout his career, he has taken on government agencies and officials, ranging from Sheriff’s Offices to federal agencies and everything in between. In each and every case, he fights to protect the rights of citizens against unlawful intrusions and discrimination by the government.
Employment Law
Jeremy is experienced with employment law issues, both on the employee side and the employer side. For employees, he helps them get the wages, benefits and respect they deserve. For employers, he helps them avoid frivolous lawsuits, protect their high-value workers, and navigate complex regulatory schemes.
Mediation
Jeremy is an experienced mediator and understands the value of settling outside the courtroom. Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants, he also understands the realities of all the perspectives in a case.
Outside the Firm
