Schemes to obtain real property at below market value from unsuspecting/uninformed owners have been in the forefront of recent news in our community. Pisgah Legal Services and the Buncombe County Bar’s Pro Bono Committee is planning a half-day CLE to address the legal issues related to this topic to inform lawyers how to better protect their clients. Topics will include partition sales, ethics, heir property matters, and estate planning for people of limited means but who own real property.
This CLE is free to attorneys who agree to take two pro bono referrals from Pisgah Legal Services in the next year (in any area of law). CLE is $75 for attorneys who do not wish to take referrals.
