Partners For Justice Internship Program 2022

The Partners for Justice Internship program, happening July 25-29, helps four local high school seniors explore careers in criminal justice. Students will spend each day in court, in the Buncombe County detention center, in local law firms, or riding along with a deputy sheriff. The program is facilitated by Youth Transformed for Life Training Program, and sponsored by the Buncombe County Bar.

Libby Kyles, Executive Director of the YTL Training Program, said, “YTL Traing Programs would like to thank our interns and their parents for taking a leap with us as we delve into creating and building relationships within our Justice System. Thanks so much to Judge Kepple and Lisa Gaye-Hall for sharing your vision and working with YTL to see it to fruition. Last, but certainly not least, thank you to every guest speaker, officer, and individuals working within our justice system for your willingness to teach, listen to and learn from these amazing interns. We look forward to next year with great expectations!” Learn more about the YLT Training Program here.

The interns will be seniors this coming year at Asheville High School, Buncombe County Early College, and Erwin High School.
