Overview of Landlord/Tenant & Consumer Matters During the Pandemic CLE
The Pro Bono Committee of the Buncombe County Bar will host a virtual CLE Program on Wed, January 13, 2021 to provide an overview of key areas of Landlord/Tenant Law and including termination of tenancy and habitability issues in residential rental housing, and of Consumer Protection Law, including debtors’ rights and common credit issues faced by low-income members of our community. Presenter Molly Maynard will discuss these areas of law in light of the pandemic’s impact on our region. The sessions will provide good background for attorneys interested in doing pro bono service in the areas of landlord/tenant and consumer protection/debt. Molly Maynard, Director of Consumer Law Program, Pisgah Legal Services
Molly is a staff attorney handling a range of consumer law cases and housing cases at Pisgah Legal Services. She has also worked on Pisgah Legal’s Community Economic Development projects. Molly is a graduate of UNC School of Law and has practiced poverty law at Pisgah Legal Services for nine years. She is the Director of Pisgah Legal’s Consumer Law Program.
