Marion K. Parsons Named Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers

Parsons Law, PA, is pleased to announce that Marion K. Parsons has been named a Fellow of the
American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). AAML members are recognized as
preeminent family law practitioners with the highest levels of knowledge, skill, and integrity and
are comprised of the top matrimonial attorneys throughout the nation. “By demonstrating the
highest standards of matrimonial practice, Fellows of the Academy have set the standard for the
matrimonial bar.”
The AAML was founded in 1962 with the mission to provide leadership that promotes the
highest degree of professionalism and excellence in the practice of family law. To be considered
for selection, each Fellow must successfully complete a rigorous selection process that includes
interviews, examinations, and professional and judicial evaluations. There are nearly 1500
Fellows throughout the United States.
The Academy Fellows represent individuals and their families in all areas of family law,
including divorce, annulment, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, marital
settlements, child custody and visitation, business valuations, property valuations and division,
alimony, child support, and more.

About Marion Parsons

Marion K. Parsons, of Parsons Law, PA, in Asheville, North Carolina, is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer. She represents clients in all issues related to marriage, divorce, child custody and visitation, support, alimony, third-party custody actions, annulment, prenups, matters affecting unmarried cohabitants, business valuation and property distribution, as well as alienation of affection and criminal conversation actions. Additionally, she represents parents in matters involving Department of Social Services Child Protective Services, abuse neglect and dependency petitions, responsible individual petitions, termination of parental rights, and other juvenile court matters. Ms. Parsons is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law and Fellow with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Parsons has been nominated to SuperLawyers Rising Stars for four consecutive years. Currently a member of the Family Law section of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA), she serves on the NCBA Family Law Section Council, and is a member of the Buncombe County Bar. Ms. Parsons maintains licensure to practice law in North Carolina and in the State of Oregon. She is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina as well as in the Eastern Band of Cherokee Tribal Court.
