Weekly Bar Briefs - April 28, 2026
Dear Buncombe Bar Members,
Please join us for our first Law Day celebration at 12:00 pm this Friday, May 1, at Pack Square Pavilion. Law Day is an apolitical, nonpartisan opportunity for the legal community to recognize and reflect on the rule of law. This year feels especially significant as we approach the 250th anniversary of American independence, discuss the importance of the rule of law, and (for those who wish to participate) retake our oath to uphold the Constitution with retired Judge Calvin Hill. We hope to see you there!
