Madison Root Joins Parsons Law

Parsons Law is very pleased announce that Attorney Madison S. Root has joined our firm.
Attorney Root (she/they) is a passionate family law attorney with a special interest in
representing LGBTQ+ families. She has extensive courtroom experience and takes pride in being
a powerful advocate for her clients.
Attorney Root attended University of Texas at San Antonio where she received her Bachelor of
Science in Political Science. Attorney Root then went on to earn her Juris Doctor, graduating
cum laude from Penn State Law. While attending law school, Ms. Root achieved dual
specializations: one in children, family, and the law, and the other in race, justice, and the law.
While not at work, you can find Attorney Root enjoying live music or exploring nature with her
fiancé, their child, and their pets.

About Marion Parsons

Marion K. Parsons, of Parsons Law, PA, in Asheville, North Carolina, is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer. She represents clients in all issues related to marriage, divorce, child custody and visitation, support, alimony, third-party custody actions, annulment, prenups, matters affecting unmarried cohabitants, business valuation and property distribution, as well as alienation of affection and criminal conversation actions. Additionally, she represents parents in matters involving Department of Social Services Child Protective Services, abuse neglect and dependency petitions, responsible individual petitions, termination of parental rights, and other juvenile court matters. Ms. Parsons is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law and Fellow with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Parsons has been nominated to SuperLawyers Rising Stars for four consecutive years. Currently a member of the Family Law section of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA), she serves on the NCBA Family Law Section Council, and is a member of the Buncombe County Bar. Ms. Parsons maintains licensure to practice law in North Carolina and in the State of Oregon. She is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina as well as in the Eastern Band of Cherokee Tribal Court.
