Liz Franks Joins MGC’s North Carolina Offices
McAngus Goudelock & Courie, a regional insurance defense firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Elizabeth Franks to the firm’s Asheville office.
Franks’ practice focuses on litigation in the firm’s Asheville office. Franks earned her juris doctor from University of Dayton School of Law and holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Miami. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association of Defense Attorneys, North Carolina Bar Association of Women Attorneys and Buncombe County Bar. Franks also serves on the Board of Directors for Homeward Bound of Western North Carolina and the Steering Committee for Highlands Circles, and is the Pro Bono Committee Chair for the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County. She was included in the 2014 Greater Asheville Area’s 40 Under Forty. Prior to joining MGC, Liz worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, clerked for Judge Max O. Cogburn, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, and practiced at an Asheville area law firm.
