Attorney Jason Miller completed two milestones in just ten minutes on an early Friday morning in March, with a bit of help from Chief District Court Judge J. Calvin Hill and Magistrate Joseph Knight. Here’s Jason’s version of the story:

“Eloping to Asheville in the middle of the night, Michele and Jason arrived on a weekend getaway, fell in love again, and were married Monday morning March 18. Jason, an attorney, and Michele, a teacher, planned their getaway and squeezed in just enough time for the Monday morning courthouse nuptials with Magistrate Joe Knight. While there, the Buncombe County Bar also arranged for Judge Calvin Hill to swear Jason in to the North Carolina Bar (thanks, Lisa-Gaye Hall and Megan Waldkoetter). Jason practices law in Florida and New York in civil litigation and appeals. Michele teaches elementary school. Both have fallen head-over-heels with the cool North Carolina mountain air, the fabulous Asheville neighborhoods, and all of the wonderful people they met on their trip. They plan to relocate to the area, practice law, and raise their kids.”
