Sharon Hines Agronsky of Chapel Hill died April 11 at the age of 77. Born in Muscatine, Iowa, she earned English degrees from the University of Iowa (B.A.) and George Washington University (M.A.) and a J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia. Agronsky served as a volunteer mediator and pro bono attorney in Washington, D.C., and practiced estate law in Asheville before retiring and returning to pro bono work. She also served as community liaison to the Asheville Police Department.
