Implicit Bias and Cultural Differences Proposal for Rule 1.1

The North Carolina State Bar Ethics subcommittee studying the proposal for a new comment to Rule 1.1 (Competency) on implicit bias and cultural differences is holding its first meeting on Wednesday, September 23 from 2pm to 3:30pm.  The meeting will be livestreamed via the State Bar’s YouTube channel for anyone who wants to observe the meeting.

 Prof. Jim Drennan of the UNC School of Government will be joining us for this meeting.  Prof. Drennan has presented on the topic of implicit bias numerous times, and he will be sharing his knowledge of the topic with us next week.
