Heidi Stewart is pleased to announce that she is returning to Asheville and has reopened her general law practice focusing on estate planning and elder law, veterans benefits, corporate planning, and issues affecting LGBT families. In addition to her extensive litigation experience, Heidi is also an experienced mediator and collaborative law attorney. She focuses on helping clients resolve disputes amicably and provides mediation services to lawyers and private individuals.
Heidi is a US District Court Mediator for the Western District of North Carolina, a certified mediator and an Autoline Arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau of Western North Carolina. She is the former president of the Buncombe County Bar, former Assistant Director of the Mediation Center and has served as Executive Director of the Family Visitation Center Group, as well as coordinator for the Buncombe County Child Care Resource and Referral Program.
Heidi’s additional focus is in the realm of attorney wellness and satisfaction in the practice of law. She will provide coaching and continuing education services to young lawyers and women lawyers to assist them in attaining a greater work-life balance and enjoyment of their careers.
