R. Keith Miller, the Buncombe County Tax Assessor, will provide a one-hour training for real estate attorneys and paralegals about the business property rental listing sheets and property card updates recently requested by the county. The training will include the state regulations for rental property listings, information about how to update property records and file appeals, and information that may be useful to attorneys and paralegals working with residential and rental residential clients.

Presenter: R. Keith Miller is the Buncombe County Property Assessor. Appointed by the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners in 2017, Keith has spent over 27 years in public service. Employed with Buncombe County since 1996, Keith held a variety of positions with Property Assessment prior to his appointment. He is a member of the North Carolina Association of Assessing Officers and served on many committees and boards within that organization. Keith is a certified Level III property appraiser and certified assessor with the North Carolina Department of Revenue. His career has centered, in some aspect, around the real estate industry. Prior to working in local government he worked as a real estate broker and as a consultant. Buncombe County Property Assessment earned the Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration (CEAA) award from the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) in 2019.
