Overview of Landlord/Tenant & Consumer Matters During the Pandemic CLE
The Pro Bono Committee of the Buncombe County Bar will host a CLE Program on Wed, January 13, 2021 to provide an overview of key areas of Landlord/Tenant Law and  including termination of tenancy and habitability issues in residential rental housing, and of Consumer Protection Law, including debtors’ rights and common credit issues faced by low-income members of our community. The presenter will discuss these areas of law in light of the pandemic’s impact on our region. This session will be presented by Pisgah Legal Services staff attorney Molly Maynard, who specializes in these areas of law. The sessions will provide good background for attorneys interested in doing pro bono service in the areas of landlord/tenant and consumer protection/debt. The Pro Bono Committee of the Bar is providing this CLE at no charge.
