Date(s) - 02/09/2022
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Democracy requires that residents work together to solve community problems – but how do we do that in an age of division? Thrive Asheville is tackling our community’s biggest issues by engaging diverse groups in shared learning about our challenges, and potential solutions. Last fall, Thrive Asheville launched the Ideas to Action Leadership Forum, bringing together 34 community leaders who are diverse by sector, race, and perspective, to learn more about the impacts of tourism, and sustainable solutions that balance wins for our residents, our visitors, our place and our economy. Kate Pett, Thrive’s Executive Director, will explain the process of deliberative dialogue and how Thrive is applying the process of shared learning to develop the will, the knowledge, and the skills for leaders to work together effectively.
