New Bar members are invited to sign up now for the annual Swearing-in Ceremony for the Buncombe County Bar. The event will be held in the fifth floor courtroom in the Buncombe County Courthouse. New attorneys must have received a NC Bar number to participate. Registration closes Tuesday, October 13 at 3:00 PM.
If you are a new attorney or new to our area and want to participate in this ceremony, please sign up below. Family and friends are invited to attend the ceremony, and all Buncombe Bar members are encouraged to attend.
If you are seeking admission to the Federal Courts, please submit a completed application along with a check for $300 to the federal courthouse at 100 Otis Street, Room 309 by October 7th. Click here for detailed instructions and to access the application. Applications and payment can be mailed to the courthouse or dropped off in person. Please make sure to select either option #1 or option #2 on the admission form. If applications are not complete, the applicant will have to make an appointment with the clerks to be sworn in at a later time.
