Laura Jeffords, Executive Director of The Mediation Center, will talk about the Center’s free mediation of interpersonal conflicts, and how recent research in the field of community mediation shows the importance of such services in preventing violence, reducing court and police involvement, and improving relationships. The Mediation Center, founded in 1984, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit center serving Buncombe, Henderson, Transylvania and Polk Counites.
