Elder and Special Needs Law Associate

The Van Winkle Law Firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join our Trusts, Estates, and Elder Law team in our Hendersonville, NC office. This candidate will work as a member of our general Trusts and Estates team, while developing a practice with a focus on elder and special needs law.

Requirements
• Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills are expected. Superior academic credentials and entrepreneurial spirit highly preferred
• Willingness to invest in the Hendersonville, NC community
• Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years practice experience in some or all the following areas: trust and estate planning, trust and estate administration, guardianship administration, special needs planning, incapacity planning, Medicaid planning, veteran’s benefits planning
• Successful candidates will be able to work both independently and collaboratively with other attorneys and staff to build elder law practice in our Hendersonville-based office and provide high level service to all Van Winkle clients
• Successful candidates will also be able to work collaboratively with social workers, financial, and medical professionals to ensure successful client outcomes
• Currently licensed to practice law in North Carolina, or eligible to waive in
