Denise Lockett Elected To Council for NCBA Family Law Section
Denise A. Lockett has been elected to serve as a Council member of the NCBA Family Law Section. The Section promotes improvements in family law practice, and focuses on emerging legal trends and issues, bench/bar relations, and the education of practitioners. They make recommendations regarding legislation, offer legal education, and encourage the provision of pro bono legal services. The Council is a comprised of the officers of the Section and 15 additional members who are elected at the annual meeting and who serve three-year terms. There are approximately 1,300 members of the Family Law Section of the NCBA, statewide. The Council meets quarterly to identify and respond to issues affecting the practice of family law in North Carolina.
