Daniel W. Hayes Opens Hayes Firm, PLLC

Daniel W. Hayes announces he has moved his law practice to Hayes Firm, PLLC, a single-member law firm focused on providing Medicare settlement consultation. Daniel works with clients to develop strategies for addressing and resolving Medicare Secondary Payer issues in liability and workers’ compensation settlements, including the preparation of Medicare Set-Aside Arrangements (MSAs) and zero-dollar legal opinion letters, formal submission of proposals to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Medicare conditional payment lien negotiations, and internal auditing for compliance with Section 111 mandatory reporting.

Daniel holds designations as Medicare Set-Aside Certified Consultant (MSCC) and Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional (CMSP). He is author of the Concurrent Laws: Medicare chapter of LexisNexis Practice Guide North Carolina Workers’ Compensation (2017), as well as the South Carolina Bar publication Medicare Issues in Liability and Workers’ Compensation Settlements (2015). Daniel is a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.  He was honored to be a shareholder previously with Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham, LLP, in the Asheville office.
