Provide advice to low-income consumers by phone
Pisgah Legal has a Consumer Advice Line, staffed by dedicated pro bono volunteers. Through this project attorneys advise clients about debt problems, creditor and debtor rights, contracts, car repair and car purchase disputes, and other consumer matters. By providing brief advice on these issues, volunteer attorneys give our low-income clients good information about their options and next steps, as well as peace of mind.
Can you help our clients with these matters? If you’d like to do a 2-hour consumer advice line shift with whatever frequency works for you (once per month or more/less often) please contact Max Gibbons. We can provide training, an advice line manual and the opportunity to shadow advice line shifts before taking your own cases.
