Chief Judge Calvin Hill Named to NC Commission on Administration of Justice
Chief Judge J. Calvin Hill has been named to the North Carolina Commission on the Administration of Justice. Chief Justice of the NC Supreme Court Mark Martin appointed Judge Hill to the Civil Justice Committee which will be chaired by the Dean of Duke University Law School, David F. Levi.
The commission will focus on five areas of Inquiry: civil justice, criminal investigation and adjudication, legal professionalism, public trust and confidence, and technology. The multidisciplinary commission will undertake a comprehensive evaluation of our state’s justice system and make recommendations for strengthening our courts within the existing administrative frame work.
The commission will finalize its findings and recommendations in a series of reports that will be presented to the Chief Justice and made available to the public in early 2017.
