About

Amy Schütz Kelso joined the UNC Charlotte Office of Legal Affairs in 1997. As a transactional attorney and generalist, she provides legal counsel on a variety of issues in public higher education law, including policy development and management, contract drafting and negotiation, education abroad and international programs, student accountability and academic integrity, athletics, administration and governance, facilities, risk management, and compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Before joining the Office of Legal Affairs, she clerked for the Hon. Chief Judge Gerald Arnold at the North Carolina Court of Appeals for two years. Prior to her legal career, she worked in academic publishing at UNC Press in Chapel Hill, NC.
