Eric P. Edgerton is a litigation attorney who works on a wide array of litigation matters, including business litigation, product liability, professional liability, insurance defense, construction litigation and alternative dispute resolution. His practice includes personal injury and wrongful death legal cases of all varieties, including those arising out of construction or automobile accidents. Eric additionally has experience handling contract disputes, particularly those relating to insurance coverage. He also represents area hospitals in involuntary commitment proceedings, having successfully tried more than fifty such matters in District Court.

Eric joined Roberts & Stevens after serving as a law clerk in both the private and public sectors, most recently completing a fellowship with the Office of the Attorney General in Washington, DC. Prior to law school, Eric gained experience while working in the New York office of a major international law firm.

An Asheville native, Eric returned to Western North Carolina in order to clerk with Roberts & Stevens during his summers in law school. He is now thrilled to return to the area on a year-round basis. Eric is actively involved in the local community, working with Pisgah Legal Services as a Mountain Area Volunteer Attorney, as well as sitting on the Carolina Day School Alumni Board. During his free time, Eric makes the most of Asheville’s pristine environmental setting by hiking, trail running, and kayaking.
