Ms. Amy Schutz Kelso


Amy S. Kelso is Senior Associate General Counsel at UNC Charlotte. Amy began her telecommuting in-house counsel position at UNC Charlotte in 1997 after clerking for NC Court of Appeals Chief Judge Gerald Arnold for two years. She conducts extensive computer-based research and writing and advises University administrators on a variety of legal issues in public higher education law, including policy development, contract drafting and negotiation, student affairs, athletics, intellectual property, governance and accountability, and compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Amy received a BA in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
