Seeking Immigration Paralegals

We’re hiring!  The Charlotte office of Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks experienced Corporate Immigration Paralegals for its Charlotte office to support members of the Immigration Practice Group.  Will consider qualified candidates in the Asheville area to work remotely. The positions entail working with the Immigration Team’s personnel to manage nonimmigrant and immigrant employment-based petitions. 

While training for the positions will be provided, the Firm prefers candidates with basic knowledge of various employment-based visa classifications as well as individuals who are organized and able to adapt to the demands of multi-tasking while paying close attention to detail. The positions require at least a Bachelor’s degree and up to three (3) years of related experience.

Demonstrated ability to function in a team setting and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization as well as external clients is expected. Punctuality and satisfactory attendance is imperative. Strong analytical, financial and mathematical skills and ability to grasp new concepts quickly are required. Strong knowledge of computer technology including all Microsoft Office Products required.

Susan Ramos Joins Womble Bond Dickinson’s Immigration Solutions Team

Experienced immigration attorney Susan Ramos has joined Womble Bond Dickinson and the firm’s Womble Immigration Solutions team.

Ramos brings more than 15 years of experience in immigration law and is fluent in Spanish. She currently serves as a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Liaison Committee.

Womble Immigration Solutions manages inbound immigration services for domestic and international employers and investors. The team focuses on employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions, including, but not limited to, preparation of treaty investor/trader visa applications, H-1B temporary worker petitions and L-1 intra-company transfer petitions, as well as applications for permanent employment certification for advanced degree professionals and skilled workers and priority worker petitions for individuals of extraordinary ability, outstanding professors and researchers, and multinational executives and managers.
