Power Hours CLE: “Sex, Drugs & Money” and “Mindfulness in the Legal Profession”

January 27th 3pm-5pm- Join the Mediation Center for Power Hours. In this two-hour CLE webinar, attorneys can earn 1-hour of ethics/professional responsibility credit and 1-hour of mental health/substance abuse credit. In the first hour, attorney Joshua Walthall will talk about Sex, Drugs, and Money- Things that Get Lawyers in Trouble. As a former State Bar prosecutor, Walthall will examine recent public Bar prosecutions in these areas and discuss how they might have been avoided. In the second hour, presenter Scott MacGregor will look at Mindfulness in the Legal Profession and how it can help lawyers to focus and concentrate, let go of distractions, manage stress and other emotions, and learn from experiences. Register here.

Friday, January 27, 2023 from 10am-12pm, The Mediation Center presents “Working with ‘The Problem Client’: Advanced Skills in Client Management”.  This two-hour ethics/professional responsibility CLE will be a panel discussion made up of seasoned attorneys including Mary Euler, Kerry Friedman, Tikkun Gottschalk, and Joy G. McIver moderated by attorney Clifford “Kip” Marshall. The webinar will outline methods for managing client expectations, provide strategies for dealing with client conflict or misbehavior, and explore the ethical ramifications of determining client competency.
