Allen Stahl + Kilbourne Expands into the Triad and Announces New Attorney Scott Burger

Big news! Allen Stahl + Kilbourne expands into The Triad! We are thrilled to announce Scott Burger as our newest attorney. Scott shares our passion for dedicated client service and our affinity for good beer. In fact, for nearly a decade, he has practiced under the name the “NC Beer Lawyer” and will bring that moniker to Allen Stahl + Kilbourne which will be the new home of the “NC Beer Lawyers.”

“We are excited to have Scott on board and expand our reach across the state. It allows us to offer our services to a broader geographic client base, and gives Scott’s existing clients new depths and breadths of expertise,” says Derek Allen.

Scott ran his own solo practice for 9 years before joining us here at ASK. He represents both buyers and sellers in commercial real estate closings. He assists small businesses and entrepreneurs with business formation, commercial lease reviews, and general legal advice for starting and running their businesses. Scott also works with craft breweries, wineries, and distilleries in every stage of their life cycles, but particularly enjoys working with start-ups.

Scott is a Michigander! He was raised in Okemos, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in history.  He continued his education and obtained his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law.

Scott is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Forsyth County Bar Association/31st Judicial District Bar, and the American Bar Association.  He is also a Certified Beer Server in the Cicerone Certification Program.
