Kristopher Caudle Joins Campbell Shatley, PLLC

Campbell Shatley is thrilled to announce a new addition to our firm. Kristopher L. Caudle has joined the firm as an associate attorney, effective May 13, 2019.  He comes to Campbell Shatley, PLLC from UNC-Charlotte, where he served as a Higher Education Legal Fellow in the General Counsel’s office for the past two years.  Prior to his position at UNC-Charlotte, Kris practiced education law at Schwartz & Shaw, PLLC, in Raleigh, NC.

As a Legal Fellow, Kris worked directly with the Office of Legal Affairs advising University clients in contract, risk management and litigation issues, including Title VII litigation.  At UNC-Charlotte Kris also helped advise decision-makers in Title IX investigations and worked directly with the Cato College of Education on legal issues related to the opening of its lab school. While in private practice, Kris represented boards of education in a wide-variety of legal matters.  His experience includes personnel investigations, revising board policies, advising boards in employment disputes, and representing boards in special education and bond forfeiture litigation.

Kris graduated from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  Prior to law school, Kris was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and served as a high school social studies teacher in Wake County Schools.  He received his Juris Doctor from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he served as an Executive Editor of the First Amendment Law Review.

Kris grew up in Rowan County and when he is not helping clients, he enjoys running half marathons, public speaking and creative writing.
